A Modern Construction Project in Greater Noida
Black Bedroom
This 1300 sq. ft. construction project in Greater Noida was envisioned as a confluence area within the Apple Lab development zone, a space designed to bring people together through openness, innovation and modern design.
The intent was to create a contemporary structure that seamlessly integrates with the existing college façade while introducing a forward-looking architectural language suited to a technology-driven environment.
The client faced a shortage of space and required a smart, modern and inviting confluence area with an open-plan environment. The brief focused on maximising functionality within limited square footage while incorporating modern materials, smart construction techniques and a visually light structure.
The space needed to support interaction, movement and adaptability, without disrupting existing services or the architectural character of the campus.
The completed confluence zone is a sleek, modern glass structure that intentionally juxtaposes the existing Dholpur sandstone façade of the college. A carefully planned foundation was constructed while keeping all current services in mind, ensuring seamless integration with the existing infrastructure
Executed with precision, the structure features a metal frame with a black matte finish and clear glass walls. For thermal performance, metro sheets were introduced at the roof level; they offer a superior balance of durability, lightweight strength, and aesthetic appeal for modern roofing and cladding. Internally, multiple layers of insulation using fibreglass enhance comfort while reinforcing the industrial aesthetic.
To complete the look, a baffle wood ceiling was installed with integrated linear lighting, aligning with the modern architectural language and creating a refined yet industrial interior atmosphere.
The result is a contemporary confluence area that feels light, durable and future-ready, reflecting Rise and Tread’s expertise in construction-led design solutions.
